Mark Zuckerberg's Facebook is all set to compete with Groupon and Living Social with a new deals program.

Facebook is planning to strengthen its Facebook Deals announced last November by offering its users with daily multiple deals that can be shared with friends. The deals program will make it easier for friends to find fun things to do together and connect with local businesses too. Friends will be able to dine together or catch a concert in each other's company through deals generated by a Facebook team and business partners like ReachLocal, Gilt City, Tippr, HomeRun.com, PopSugar City, Zozi, KGB Deals and Plum District.
Facebook will test the service first in Dallas, Austin, Atlanta, San Francisco and San Diego. It will allow Facebook users to sign up for deals on a link leading them to a special page enlisting local promotions. This will appear on the left-hand side of the user's home page. With Facebook promising more information soon, subscribers must keep a watch for Facebook News Feed updates on nearby promotions.
