PC Advisor recently conducted a survey which has found that at least six out of ten internet users visit social networks on a daily basis. Although this may not come as a surprise, it is interesting to see the impact in individuals' daily lives by social networking sites such as Facebook. The survey also found that 31.9 percent use solely Facebook as their means of social networking online, with Twitter coming in second place relatively close. The list also included LinkedIn and Friends Reunited which were two worthy competitors in the running.
The survey also concluded that there was a sense of allegiance to social networking. Individuals felt the need to post up updates and photos, as well as contact individuals majority of the time through these social networks rather than the normal forms of communication. These include texting, phone calls or social gatherings.
